Jaxon Letey (G) commits to Utah M1

The University of Utah Hockey has received a commitment from Goaltender Jaxon Letey for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
Jaxon is a Salt Lake City native and grew up playing for various youth teams in the state until he was 13. He then billeted in Colorado and played for the Rocky Mountain RoughRiders in the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) for two years, where he was fortunate enough to win the league his 15u year.
Letey then moved to Omaha to play for Omaha Mastery AAA Hockey Club for 3 years. He was able to advance to the district tournament his 16u year before Covid canceled the season. He was lucky to get some time practicing and backing up games in the US Hockey League (USHL) during that time as well. After Omaha, he came back home to play for the Utah Outliers in the US Premier Hockey League (USPHL) where they won the Mountain Division championship but unfortunately got eliminated in the quarterfinals of the National Tournament.
Letey is excited to be playing for the Utes this upcoming year, “I grew up watching their games and it will be special for me to get to put on the Utah jersey and get to be a part of the team.”
Letey plans to study Business at the U.
