Salt Lake City, Utah
The University of Utah Hockey has received a commitment from Forward Jacob Slater for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
Jacob was born in Michigan and moved to Wisconsin around the age of 7. He played three years of high school hockey for the Marquette University High School Hilltoppers before leaving his senior year to play AAA for the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals.
He then played two more years of Junior hockey for Toledo Cherokee in the USPHL Premier and a short stint with the Granite City Lumberjacks in the NA3HL. In his most recent season with the Cherokees, he had 21 goals and 38 assists in 32 games.
In his free time, he likes to hang out on a boat, fish, and try to get outside as much as he can.
“Jacob is an extremely fast and shifty forward who will be a perfect addition to our style of play. His playmaking and scoring abilities will immediately make an impact on us. I foresee Jacob being a top-point leader on this team next season. I am excited to have him on the squad,” said Men’s Division 1 Head Coach Morgan Feenie.
Utah Hockey would like to welcome Jacob and wish him the absolute best in the upcoming season
