Salt Lake City, Utah
The University of Utah Hockey has received a commitment from Forward Grace Jensen for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
Grace started playing hockey during her freshman year of high school, later than most. In her first season, she was a 13-year-old playing on the 8u in-house team at the Escondido Ice Plex.
She quickly developed a strong love and passion for the sport and practiced every single day to improve her skills. In 2019, Jensen played for the San Diego Jr. Gulls. For the next three years, she played for the San Diego Angels, serving as an alternate captain of their 19uAA team in her final season.
Every summer, Jensen played roller hockey in Irvine, CA at the North American Roller Hockey Championships (NARCh). In 2022, she was fortunate enough to be selected for Team USA’s Inline Hockey team (Jr. Women) and won a silver medal at the World Skate Games in Argentina.
“Grace has smooth hands and a great skating stride. She is definitely a dangerous player in the offensive zone. Whether she’s setting someone up back door or putting the puck in the net herself,” said Women’s Division 1 Head Coach Rodney Stedt.
Jensen plans to study Strategic Communications at the U.
Utah Hockey would like to welcome Grace and wish her the absolute best in the upcoming season!
