Salt Lake City, Utah
The University of Utah Hockey has received a commitment from Forward Alex Pauldine for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
Alex was born in Baltimore, Maryland and moved to Seattle, Washington when he was three. After watching his dad playing hockey for years he wanted to give it a try and laced up his first pair of skates.
Throughout elementary and middle school Pauldine played in the Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association in British Columbia. He also played with Seattle Junior Hockey Association until his Senior Year.
For his last year of youth hockey he played for the Sno-King Hockey Association as a Jr Thunderbird. After playing close to 70 games within the AA level and AAA levels, the team was ranked as one of the top 100 teams in the Nation.
Alex chose to come to the University of Utah instead of playing Juniors and thrilled to be a Skatin’ Ute!
“We’re excited to add Alex to our team for the upcoming season. His two-way game and ability to make plays with the puck will be a big boost for us as we look to find the back of the net as much as possible,” said Men’s Division 2 Head Coach Nick Fornelius.
Pauldine plans to study General Studies at the U.
Utah Hockey would like to welcome Alex and wish him the absolute best in the upcoming season!
