Salt Lake City, Utah
The University of Utah Hockey has received a commitment from Forward William Schneider for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Schneider was born in Tokyo, Japan, and grew up in San Diego, CA, where he played youth hockey for the San Diego Jr. Gulls Hockey Program. During his freshmen and sophomore years of high school, he played for the Pacific Ridge Hockey Club.
He made the jump to play prep school hockey after his sophomore year when he transferred to The Hill School in PA. He played for the varsity team in his junior and senior years, serving as one of the captains in his senior year. After graduating high school, he played one year of Junior hockey with the Boston Jr. Bruins of the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) this past year.
“Thrilled to welcome Will to the Utah hockey family. Will is a dual-threat guy who will outwork anyone on the ice and then will have no issue burying the puck. He is a guy who will turn up our level of competition. He perfectly embodies our team motto of being formidable and challenging to face on the ice,” said Men’s Division 1 Head Coach Morgan Feenie.
Schneider plans to study Business at the U.
Utah Hockey would like to welcome William and wish him the absolute best in the upcoming season!
