The final schedule for the 11th Annual Wasatch Cup has been released, and will take place January 30 and 31st at the Peaks Ice Arena.
The two day tournament is structured similar to the Beanpot Tournament in Boston; where all American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 2 College Hockey teams in the state of Utah will battle through two rounds to determine the best team in the state.
The seeding for the first and second round are decided by the most recent ACHA Rankings. The highest ranked team will take on the lowest ranked team with the other two playing each other with the highest ranked team of the two being designated as the home team.
2026 Wasatch Cup Seeding:
#1 Weber State University
#2 Utah State University
#3 University of Utah
#4 Utah Valley University
The Tournament will begin at 4:25 PM on Friday January 31st with #2 Utah State playing #3 University of Utah in the first semi-final game of the 2026 Wasatch Cup Tournament. Host Team Utah Valley will be the #4 seed and will host #1 Weber State University 7:25 PM on Friday evening.
2026 Wasatch Cup Game 1, January 30th 4:25 PM: #3 Utah vs #2 Utah State
2026 Wasatch Cup Game 2, January 30th 7:25 PM: #4 Utah Valley vs #1 Weber State
2026 Wasatch Cup Game 3 (Championship), January 31st 4:25 PM: TBD vs TBD
2026 Wasatch Cup Game 4 (3rd Place), January 31st 7:25 PM: TBD vs TBD
The two losing teams from the semifinals will play each other at 7:25 pm on Saturday, January 31st, with the higher seed being the home team.
The two winners of the semifinals will play at 4:25 pm on January 31st to decide who will win the coveted Wasatch Cup. The highest seeded team will be the home team for the championship game.
