Salt Lake City, Utah
University of Utah Men’s Division 2 Hockey has received a commitment from Forward Hayden Hill for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
Utah Native, Hayden was born in Magna, Utah and grew up playing hockey from a young age. His hockey career began with the Salt Lake Lightning, following which he played for Skyline High School. After he graduated, Hill went on to complete a 2-year service mission in Paris, France where he became fluent in the French.
Upon Hill’s return to the states, he played for Utah Valley University Wolverines in the American Collegiate Hockey Association for one year before moving to Pocatello, Idaho to support his wife who is completing her master’s degree at Idaho State University. While there, Hill played in some adult hockey leagues, and even tried his hand in a roller hockey league.
When he is not on the ice, he loves to do anything outside including hiking, rock climbing and long boarding. Hill looks forward to continuing his education at the University of Utah to find a successful future career doing something he loves.
“Hayden’s maturity and skill on the ice will be a welcome addition to the team for the upcoming season. We’re excited to see his addition help us be successful this season,” Men’s Division 2 Head Coach Nick Fornelius said.
Hill is currently undecided on a field of study at the U.
Utah Hockey would like to welcome Hayden and wish him the absolute best in the upcoming season!
