Salt Lake City, Utah
University of Utah Women’s Division 1 Hockey has received a commitment from Forward Ella Peck for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Peck, at the age of 13, laced up a pair of hockey skates for the first time and was instantly hooked. In the fall of 2019, she joined the Traverse City North Stars Girls Hockey League. Playing as a forward she enjoyed traveling all over the state of Michigan competing against other girls’ hockey teams.
In 2023, as a senior at Elk Rapids High School, Peck played on the inaugural Girls High School Hockey Team, the Traverse City Bay Reps. She completed her high school hockey career, by joining her team at the 2024 USA Hockey Chipotle National Championship.
She was a multi-sport athlete, also participating in cross country, track & field, and lacrosse, and maintained academic honor throughout her high school career.
“Ella Peck is a player that we are so excited to see what ceiling she can reach. She’s a smooth skater who always knows what spot to be in. She’s going to bring a lot of life to the team on and off the ice,” said Women’s Division 1 Head Coach Rodney Stedt.
Peck plans to study Medical Laboratory Sciences at the U.
Utah Hockey would like to welcome Ella and wish her the absolute best in the upcoming season!
