Joe Hughes (F) commits to Utah

University of Utah Hockey has received a commitment from forward Joe Hughes for the upcoming 2017-18 season.

Hughes is from South Lyon, MI and most recently played for South Lyon Unified in Michigan’s High School Hockey League last season. Hughes has a decorated youth career playing for Detroit Compuware, Victory Honda, and Honeybaked while growing up in Michigan and has won a U14 National Championship as well as several Michigan state titles.

Academically, Hughes graduated Cum Laude from South Lyon East High School and is excited to continue his academic career at the U.

Head Coach Huras on Hughes, “Joe will add size and speed to the offensive lineup, we look forward to his physical game as well.”

Utah Hockey would like to welcome Joe to the team and wish him the best in the upcoming season.
