FORMAT:
Four teams from each of the four divisions in the ACHA (Northeast, Southeast, Central, and West) qualify for the tournament. The format for the tournament will be pool play with four teams in each of the four pools. Each team will play all other teams in their pool with the winners of each pool advancing to the national semifinals. All game rosters will allow 22 players to be dressed for the games, 2 or 3 must be goaltenders. Teams only get “one” time-out per game.
Tie-breaking procedures in the event of a tie in pool play are:
A. Head to Head
B. Number of Wins
C. Fewest Goals Allowed (in all games)
D. Goal Differential (in all games)
E. Fewest Penalty Minutes
F. Most Periods Won in Pool Play (determined by +/- in goals)
G. Quickest Goal Recorded on Score Sheet in Pool Play

The four winners in pool play will play each other in the national semifinals, with the winners advancing to the National Championship Game. The winner of that game will be declared the national champion.

If still tied at the end of the 10-minute overtime period, the game remains a tie (for Pool Play games only). All penalties carry into the overtime periods.
