Benjamin Hostetler (D) commits to Utah M2

The University of Utah Men’s Division 2 Hockey has received a commitment from Defenseman Benjamin Hostetler for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Hostetler has been playing hockey for about 12 years. Growing up in Portland, Oregon, he played for various club teams across the state including Portland Jr. Winterhawks, Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy, and Pacific Edge Hockey Association. He also attended USA Hockey Nationals 4 different years.
Hostetler also played lacrosse for Sunset High School; a top 4 team in Oregon.
“Ben is a sound decision-maker and a solid skater on the backend. His excellent engagement away from the puck and active stick will be impactful for us creating turnovers and keeping the puck out of our net. ,” said Men’s Division 2 Head Coach Nick Fornelius.
Hostetler plans to study Business at the U.
