Utah M1 Forward Ethan Light earns WCHL All League 1st Team Award

University of Utah Hockey is thrilled to announce Men’s Division 1 Forward Ethan Light was awarded the Western Collegiate Hockey League (WCHL) All League 1st Team Award for the 2024-25 season.
The WCHL, of which Utah M1 is a member and currently ranked at #9 in the Nation, is one of the strongest conferences in the entire American Collegiate Hockey Association with seven (of 11) of its member teams ranked.
With 26 games played so far this season, Ethan has 39 points with 15 goals and 24 assists. Good for a 1.50 points per game average. He also has 8 game winning goals in his career along side 7 short handed goals.
“We’re incredibly proud of Ethan for being named to the WCHL All-League First Team. He’s been an absolute dynamic force for us all season, and his versatility on both the power play and penalty kill speaks to his skill and commitment. With 39 points in just 26 games, Ethan has consistently been a key contributor, and he’s a threat every time he steps on the ice. This recognition is a testament to his hard work and his ability to elevate the play of those around him. He’s a well-deserved recipient of this honor,” said Utah Head Coach Morgan Feenie.
Light is a native of Manhattan Beach, California and has had a storied career with the Utes with 101 games played, 51 goals, and 54 assists. He was also part of the first Division 1 team to qualify for the National Tournament in 2024.
