University of Utah Hockey has received a commitment from forward Nick Fornelius for the 2014-2015 season.
Fornelius is a Utah native from Skyline High School, where he was part of the Eagles’ back-to-back state championship seasons in 2010 and 2011. Nick has competed at the USA Hockey National Championships six times for four different teams in four different age groups throughout his youth career. He tallied four goals and two assists in his final two appearances at Nationals with the Utah Golden Eagles U18 AA team, which took 3rd at Nationals in 2013 and 2014.
Nick will be a great addition to Utah’s already stellar offensive core, as the self-proclaimed finesse player will provide a new scoring threat for a team that already posts top goal amounts in the nation.
The Utes welcome Nick as they get ready for the upcoming 2014-2015 season.
