Jeremiah Iba (F) commits to Utah

University of Utah Hockey has received a commitment from Forward Jeremiah Iba for the upcoming 2021-22 season.
Jeremiah was born in southern San Francisco Bay Area, California and moved to Utah at age 10 where he discovered his passion for ice hockey. “When I first stepped onto the ice, I knew I had something special,” said Iba. He grew up playing hockey at the County Ice Center, and has played for the Utah Jr. Grizzlies travel teams, and helped his HS team, Salt Lake Stars win 2nd overall in the Utah High School Hockey Championship with his tremendous speed.
Iba also mentioned, “I’m excited to discover my full potential playing for the U and excited to create something memorable at the U.”
Off ice, Iba enjoys golfing, running, and film making.
“Jeremiah will provide a good dose of offense for us for the upcoming season. His IQ and playmaking ability in all zones of the ice are going to be a big lift for us. ,” said Men’s Division 2 Head Coach Nick Fornelius.
Iba plans to study Strategic Communications at the U.
