Utah Hockey announces 2022 Men’s Recruiting Weekend

University of Utah Hockey is proud to announce our Men’s Recruiting and Tryout Weekend for the 2022-23 Season. This weekend is open to all currently enrolled or prospective (future/non-admitted) University of Utah Students.

Weekend participants must attend all sessions and games, and register online by midnight on April 7, 2022. Team assignments will be given out at check-in.

Weekend cost is $65 (before February 8th) and payable by credit card when registering online. Tryout fees increase to $95 after February 9th, and $125 after March 9th. Please note, tryout fees are non-refundable.

Required tryout and liablity forms will be emailed after student athlete completes registration process and must be completed in full before being allowed on the ice.

Roster spots will only be offered to student athletes who have applied to the University of Utah by the application deadline. We highly advise all those in attendance to submit their applications to the University of Utah prior to the April 1, 2022 application deadline.

All tryout sessions occur at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex in Salt Lake City, Utah.

• Optional Campus Tour: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM, free registration is required
• Optional Campus Tour: 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM, free registration is required
• Optional Campus Tour: 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM, free registration is required
• Check-in: 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM
• Head Coach Intro: 6:30 PM – 6:45 PM
• Ice Session 1: 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM

• Ice Session 2: 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM
• Recruitment BBQ: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• Ice Session 3:  7:30 PM – 9:30 PM

We highly recommend attendance for the following reasons:

• The entire weekend is designed to provide all information so you can make an informed decision about your college hockey home
• You will be able to meet with the entire coaching and medical staff on an individual level
• Team BBQ so you can meet the entire team off the rink
• Its a ton of fun!
