University of Utah Women’s Division 1 Hockey has received a commitment from Forward Ella Brenner for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
Ella began playing hockey at age 12 after watching her dad and younger brother play. She played on an all girls house team during her 7th and 8th grade year, and then she played a season of boys hockey at Horizon High School her freshman year. Brenner has played the last 3 seasons for the Arizona Kachinas.
“Ella really surprised us at tryouts. She’s strong and knows how to protect the puck and make smart plays. She will create a lot of opportunities for us as well as strengthen and deepen our offensive core this year,” Women’s Division 1 Head Coach Braeden Yeo said.
Brenner plans to study Psychology at the U.
