April 7, 2022
Salt Lake City, Utah
The hard work, dedication, and team spirit has paid off for University of Utah W1 Forward Grace Cruikshank. Grace earned herself a position on the Western Women’s Collegiate Hockey League All-Conference 1st Team after a career best performance this past season. This accomplishment included 15 goals and 10 assists, which equated to an impressive point and a half per game average for the season. Grace’s goals this season placed her 16th at the ACHA W1 level and 3rd in the WWCHL conference.
2021-22 was Cruikshank’s second season with the Utes, as she was present for the inaugural season of Utah W1 Hockey. In her first season with the Utes, Grace earned WWCHL All-Conference 2nd Team. She was a key part of growing the team into what is is today and has been one of the team’s most skilled players in her 2 seasons at Utah.
The future of the W1 Skatin’ Utes is bright and part of that is because of what Cruikshank is capable of doing on the ice. Grace’s performance up to this point in the Utah sweater proves there are bigger things coming from her performance for seasons to come.
From everyone at Utah Hockey, we congratulate Grace Cruikshank on this major accomplishment.
