Salt Lake City, Utah
The University of Utah Hockey has received a commitment from Forward Brady Schwab for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Schwab grew up in Snohomish, Washington where he played hockey and baseball. At the beginning of his sophomore year of high school, he moved to Arizona. In Arizona, Brady played 3 seasons for the Arizona Bobcats while also representing Pinnacle High School.
After high school, Schwab stayed local, playing one year with the Arizona Jr. Coyotes before ultimately heading to Canada where he finished his Junior hockey career playing for the Revelstoke Grizzlies in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL). During his time in Revelstoke, he won back-to-back Provincial Championships, captaining the team in his last season. His leadership and determination also led him to win the most dedicated player awad both seasons.
“I’m very excited to announce my commitment to the University of Utah. It’s a privilege to represent this school while being part of a competitive team and I can’t wait to get to do that as a Skatin’ Ute,” said Schwab.
Away from the rink, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching baseball, skiing, and being outdoors.
“I’m pumped to welcome Brady to our squad. Brady a rock-solid centerman who plays a full 200-foot game with heart and grit. He takes immense pride in his defensive play, and he’s a serious threat in the offensive zone. Brady’s a beast in the faceoff circle, giving us that crucial edge we need. He’s a true Swiss Army knife on the ice and will bring immediate value to our team,” said Men’s Division 1 Head Coach Morgan Feenie.
Schwab plans to study Computer Science at the U.
Utah Hockey would like to welcome Brady and wish him the absolute best in the upcoming season!
