Salt Lake City, Utah
University of Utah Men’s Division 2 Hockey has received a commitment from Forward Daniel Madison for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Madison started playing hockey when he was seven years old. His early years on the ice were spent in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he developed a passion for the game. When he turned fourteen, he moved to California to further his hockey career, playing for Tahoe Prep Academy.
He returned to Vegas two years later and joined the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights 16U AAA. His time with the program was incredibly rewarding. Madison finished the 18U AAA program with 15 goals and 22 assists in 43 games. One of his greatest hockey accomplishments was participating in the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament, where his team placed third.
“Daniel’s speed and hustle set his game apart. We’re glad he made the decision to come to Utah and excited to see him flourish in a Utah sweater,” said Men’s Division 2 Head Coach Nick Fornelius.
Madison plans to study Business at the U.
Utah Hockey would like to welcome Daniel and wish him the absolute best in the upcoming season!
