Salt Lake City, Utah
University of Utah Women’s Division 1 Hockey has received a commitment from Forward Kaitlyn Yarrow for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
Kaity grew up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming as a multi-sport athlete. She started playing hockey in the 7th grade after a coach saw her on the lacrosse field and suggested she give it a try. Yarrow caught on quickly and played 5 years with the Jackson Hole Youth Hockey U19 Lady Moose in the Wyoming Amateur Hockey League. She has assisted the Lady Moose in winning the WAHL State Championship for the past 3 consecutive years. These were the first state wins for the Lady Moose in club history.
During the 2020-2021 season, Yarrow led the WAHL league in assists and was second in total goals. During her Junior and Senior years, she also played for Team Wyoming in travel tournament play. When she is not playing hockey she enjoys skiing, lacrosse, and baking.
“Kaity may be one of the smartest people on the ice at all times. She plays with a poise and patience that helps her to somehow always make the right play with the puck. She will grow into a great hockey player with Utah.” Women’s Division 1 Head Coach Braeden Yeo said.
Yarrow plans to study Secondary Education and History at the U.
Utah Hockey would like to welcome Kaitlyn and wish her the absolute best in the upcoming season!
