Salt Lake City, Utah
The University of Utah Hockey has received a commitment from Forward Keegan Torrey for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
Keegan started skating when he was three and playing hockey in first grade. He’s never missed a season since, playing for the Park City Ice Miners for twelve years. The Park City High School Ice Miners were state champs and went to nationals for Torrey’s junior and senior years.
He played for the AAA West Coast Renegades for two years before joining the 18 U New Jersey 87’s during a gap year. Torrey is “excited to join the Utes for the 2023-2024 season.”
When off the ice, Torrey can be found on the mountain bike trail or water/snow skiing.
“We’re looking forward to adding Keegan to our forward ranks for the upcoming season. His size, hustle, and ability to win puck battles and make plays will be a big addition to our team this upcoming season,” said Men’s Division 2 Head Coach Nick Fornelius.
Torrey plans to study Electrical Engineering at the U.
Utah Hockey would like to welcome Keegan and wish him the absolute best in the upcoming season!
