The final schedule for the 10th Annual Wasatch Cup has been released, and will take place January 31-February 1st at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex.
The two day tournament is structured similar to the Beanpot Tournament in Boston; where all American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 2 College Hockey teams in the state of Utah will battle through two rounds to determine the best team in the state. The seeding for the first and second round are decided by the most recent ACHA Rankings. The highest ranked team will take on the lowest ranked team with the other two playing each other with the highest ranked team of the two being designated as the home team.
2025 Wasatch Cup Seeding:
#1 Weber State University
#2 University of Utah
#3 Utah State University
#4 Utah Valley University
The Tournament will begin at 4:30 PM on Friday January 31st with #1 Weber State hosting #4 Utah Valley University in the first semi-final game of the 2025 Wasatch Cup Tournament. The Utah Skatin’ Utes will be the #2 seed and will host #3 Utah State University 7:30 PM on Friday evening.
2025 Wasatch Cup Game 1, January 31st 4:30 PM: #4 Utah Valley vs #1 Weber State (BROADCAST)
2025 Wasatch Cup Game 2, January 31st 7:30 PM: #3 Utah State vs #2 Utah (BROADCAST)
2025 Wasatch Cup Game 3 (3rd Place), February 1st 4:30 PM: TBD vs TBD (BROADCAST)
2025 Wasatch Cup Game 4 (Championship), February 1st 7:30 PM: TBD vs TBD (BROADCAST)
The two losing teams from the semifinals will play each other at 4:30pm on Saturday, February 1st with the higher seed being the home team.
The two winners of the semifinals will play at 7:30 pm on February 1st to decide who will win the coveted Wasatch Cup. The highest seeded team will be the home team for the championship game.
