McDonald, Gibb named to ACHA All-West Teams
Salt Lake City, UT
As the new season is rapidly approaching, the ACHA has released their All-Americans and All-Division teams for the 2012-2013 season.
Utah forward Chase McDonald and goaltender Pete Gibb were named to the All-West Division teams for their successes last year.
McDonald picked up first-team All-West honors after leading the Utes in points, goals, and assists last season. McDonald also finished third in the nation in points with 83, third in goals with 42, and sixth in assists with 41.
Gibb had a stellar season as well as he picked up second-team All-West honors. The Utes goaltender posted a 21-8-1 record with a 2.52 GAA and a save percentage of 91 percent. Gibb also led the nation in minutes played last season and was the only goaltender in the country to play over 1,800 minutes last year.
The State of Utah did well in ACHA awards with Utah, Utah State, and Weber State taking a combined 11 of the 17 available awards in the West Division.
