Utah Hockey has received a commitment from defenseman Sam Bawden for the 2015-2016 season.
Bawden is from San Diego, CA and graduated from Eastlake High School. He started playing roller hockey at the age of 7, but switched to ice hockey 2 years later. He played for the San Diego Saints until 10th grade when he started playing on the San Diego Union Hawks team as part of the Anaheim Ducks High School Hockey League. Sam led the defense in points in the 2014-2015 season. In addition to his ice hockey career, he played for Eastlake High School’s Roller Hockey team, where he lettered all four years.
Utah Hockey would like to welcome Sam to the team and wish him the best of luck in the upcoming season.
