Salt Lake City, Utah
University of Utah Hockey along with the University of Utah College Panhellenic Council (CPC) and the The Interfraternity Council (IFC) have partnered for Greek Night on Friday, February 16, 2024 for the penultimate regular season game versus Iowa State at 7:30 PM.
Utah Greeks will gain free admission if they wear their letters to the game. Additionally, House Presidents will be competing for a Score from Center Ice Contest to win a jersey signed by the entire Men’s Division 1 team for their House.
The Fraternity and Sorority community started at the University of Utah in the fall of 1909 when the first fraternity was chartered and established. The first sorority on campus was founded 4 years later in 1913.
Today, the University of Utah has 20 fraternities and sororities with nearly 1,900 students involved. In our community, we have 11 fraternities and 9 sororities. All of our organizations believe that the fraternal experience is an excellent opportunity to explore during their time in college.
Current CPC chapters include: Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Phi, Chi OMega, Delta Gamma, Delta Sigma Theta, Kappa Delta Chi, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Phi Sigma Rho, and Pi Beta Phi.
Current IFC chapters include: Alpha Tau Omega, Beta Thea Pi, Delta Sigma Pi, Omega Delta Pi, Phi Delta Theta, Pi Kappa Alpha, Pi Kappa Phi, Sigma Chi, Sigma Nu, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and Triangle.
The College Panhellenic Council (CPC) serves as the coordinating and governing body of the six National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities on campus at the University of Utah as well as three Associate Member who are not members of the NPC. The College Panhellenic is here to ensure women are fully equipped to balance the sorority experience with their academic endeavors in order to make the most of their undergraduate years.
The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the governing body for the 11 inter/national fraternities on campus. Many of these fraternities are members of the North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC). While not all organizations are members of the NIC, all fraternities still adhere to all IFC and University of Utah policies and procedures.
Utah Hockey is thrilled to welcome Utah Greeks to Friday’s game and look forward to a great game!
