October 29, 2024
Salt Lake City, Utah
Utah Hockey has officially teamed up with Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) at the University of Utah, as the Utah Hockey Men’s Division 2 team will play their Annual Patrick O’Donnell Gioblastoma Fundrasing game on Saturday, November 2nd at 4:30 pm.
Glioblastoma is a type of cancer that starts as a growth of cells in the brain or spinal cord. It grows quickly and can invade and destroy healthy tissue and can develop at any age. It is one of the most complex, deadly, and treatment-resistant cancers.
Patrick was diagnosed with Glioblastoma just before the 2022 season. He endured various treatments to fight his diagnosis and has returned part-time to the University of Utah to finish his college degree.
The game includes specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off at the end of the game, with proceeds going to fight cancer and get our teammate Patty O’ back on the ice.
The custom-made jerseys will be available for pregame sales in the near future.
The 2024 Brain Cancer Pucks and other Utah Hockey items are available for purchase immediately.
Tickets for this game are available online and at the door.
