Midland then secured their first period lead with two more goals, going into the third with leading 3-1.
The second period saw more of the same from the two opponents, with Utah holding back the Midland offense, keeping their goals at three but unable to find the goal themselves.
Into the third, Midland fired off two more goal-scoring shots in under six minutes, putting the score at 5-1.
