February 23rd & 24th, 2013
INTRODUCTION
The University of Utah, located in Salt Lake City in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains, is the flagship institution of higher learning in Utah. Founded in 1850, it serves over 31,000 students from across the U.S. and the world.
Known for its proximity to seven world-class ski resorts within 40 minutes of campus; the U encourages an active, holistic lifestyle, innovation and collaborative thinking to engage students, faculty and business leaders.
Combine all of this with an ever growing hockey community, ignited by the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, and the choice is clear; the home of the 2013 ACHA Regional Tournament should be the University of Utah.
The University is just 10.5 miles from Salt Lake International Airport, which is serviced by 9 different airlines and over 400 daily flights. Advanced airfares are always reasonable from any airport in the West.
We will be enlisting several local organizations to support the ACHA Regional Tournament, including: the Utah Sports Commission, University of Utah Club Sports Program, Visit Salt Lake, Utah Amateur Hockey Association, and the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce. In addition, our staff, our fans, and most important, our hospitality, will allow the pride of the ACHA Western Conference to focus on the game we all love, as well as enjoying the State of Sport, Utah.
