Utah to play Alumni Game versus BYU, presented by Utah Mammoth

University of Utah Hockey Alumni has been invited to join Brigham Young University Hockey Alumni to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Utah Mammoth Ice Center with an College Alumni Game on February 20, 2026 at 8:30 PM.

The game is part of a weekend celebration of hockey across the State of Sport as the Utah Mammoth open their new training facility in Sandy, Utah. Utah Hockey will also be hosting the 2026 ACHA Regional Championship Tournament the same weekend at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex.

Mammoth Ice Center on-ice community programming will include public skating, learn to skate, youth learn to play, continue to play, adult hockey, stick and puck, birthday parties, and much more.

“Our alumni are beyond excited to play BYU Alumni at the Utah Mammoth Ice Center, said Utah GM AJ Boldan. It will truly be an exciting event, and with the support of the Mammoth, one that will hopefully restore the hockey program at BYU.”

History between these two programs is rich and goes back decades. With alumni interest growing from both programs for this event, turnout is expected to be very high!

Game format is expected to be three 20 minute periods with officials.
