Salt Lake City, Utah
University of Utah Hockey has received a commitment from Forward Luke Moeller for the upcoming 2021-22 season.
Luke was born and raised in Park City, Utah. He grew up playing for numerous youth hockey programs in Utah, including the Park City High School Miners.
At the age of 15, Moeller left home to go play AAA hockey for the Colorado Rampage. He played 3 seasons with the Colorado Rampage organization, playing one year for the u16 team and two years with the u18 team.
“We are excited to have Moeller join our program. Luke is a powerful skating forward with incredible speed. The first time I saw Luke skate, I was impressed with how effortless his stride looked. He is quick on his feet and will catch a lot of teams off guard. In addition to his speed, his hands are some of the best I’ve seen. These two traits together make for a deadly combo and we are excited to see what he can do for us next year,” Men’s Division 1 Head Coach Morgan Feenie said.
“I have decided to stay home and play locally at the University of Utah. I am very excited for what’s to come, Moeller said.
When Moeller is not playing hockey, he is either riding his mountain bike or skiing.
Moeller is currently undecided on his major at the U.
Utah Hockey would like to welcome Luke and wish him the absolute best in the upcoming season!
