University of Utah Hockey has received a commitment from defenseman David Barnes for the upcoming 2014-2015 season.
David Barnes is from Orem, Utah and has been playing hockey since he was nine years old. Graduated from American Fork High School in 2011 and was on the Dean’s in his first year of college at Utah Valley University. Most recently David played for the Salt Lake City Moose Jr Hockey team for the 12/13 and 13/14 seasons. During the 13/14 seasons David served as an alternate captain of the team helping the Moose franchise to their first playoff appearance and the team’s best season yet. David plays a fast and physical defensive game, but can also help out the offensive end of the ice putting up 31 points in 43 games last season with the Moose.
David looks to go into business and is excited to join the team this fall.
