Ella Webber (D) commits to Utah

University of Utah Hockey has received a commitment from Defenseman Ella Webber for the upcoming 2020-21 season.
Hailing from Nova Scotia Canada, Ella has been playing hockey since she was 4 years old where she played for the Truro Bearcats. Ella played on the AA girls team, Pictou Subway Selects and went undefeated the season before moving to the United States. After relocating to Utah at the age of thirteen and played with the Utah Junior Grizzlies team for two years as the Captain and then transitioned to the Utah Lady Grizzlies u19 tier 2 team for three years as an Assistant Captain.
“Being a defensive defenseman has always made me a reliable player. I’m also most known for my slap shot on the blue line,” said Webber.
Ella recently graduated from Alta High School.
“We are beyond excited to welcome Ella to our program. Her level of physicality and attention to detail will be huge assets in our defensive zone. She will undoubtedly add great value to our program. We look forward to all that Ella will accomplish during her time at the U.” said Head Coach Morgan Marietti.
Ella plans to study Pre-Nursing at the University of Utah.
