Utah Hockey teams up with Navy SEAL Foundation

Utah Hockey has officially teamed up with Navy SEAL Foundation as the Utah Hockey Men’s Division 1 team will play their Annual Mark Weiss Memorial game on Saturday, November 2^nd at 7:30 pm.

The game includes specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off at the end of the game.

Our hope with the annual Mark Weiss Memorial Game is to honor our former teammate and ensure his legacy endures with all hockey fans in the State of Sport for seasons to come.

For those who didn’t know Mark, he joined the US Navy in 2000 and became an enlisted member of the United States Navy SEALs. After several tours and countless missions, he returned to the University of Utah to finish his degree. During his time with the team, his positive nature and outstanding work ethic forged a sense of purpose that still exists with Utah Hockey.

The world lost Mark in 2017, and his number was retired in 2018.

This annual event the Mark Weiss Memorial Game is part of the honoring our Veterans Day Commemorations with a puck drop at 7:30 PM on Saturday.

The 2024 Veterans Pucks, 2024 Veterans Hats, Mark Weiss Challenge Coins, and other Utah Hockey items are available for purchase immediately.
