Utah Begins 2nd Semester at Arizona
January 12, 2018
Tucson, AZ
The season begins its final stretch this weekend as the University of Utah Skatin’ Utes head to Tucson to take on the Arizona Wildcats Friday and Saturday.
The Wildcats are ranked 13th in the country heading into this weekend and are 15-6 on the season. The Wildcats are 2-0 this season against Utah, beating the Utes in Salt Lake City 5-2 and 5-3 back in November.
The Utes will look to even the season series after sweeping the Wildcats in Tucson last season. The Utes are 6-14 so far this year and are hoping to build some momentum this weekend as the season comes down to its final couple of weeks.
The Utes will look to its trio of point leaders to get the job done against the Wildcats this weekend. Brett Myer has 14 points to lead the team while Alex King and Connor Meaney both have 13 points.
Both Friday and Saturday’s games will start at 7:30pm PT and will be played at the Tucson Convention Center, home to the AHL’s Tucson Roadrunners. Both games are scheduled to be broadcasted live on Arizona’s YouTube page.
